Hi, I'm Suwani Gunasekara.

I’m a third-year PhD student in the Human–Computer Interaction Group at the University of Melbourne. My research focuses on the spread of misinformation on short-video platforms and explores how rich short-video design can help curb its dissemination.

I am supervised by A/Prof Jorge Goncalves, A/Prof Ryan M. Kelly and Prof Vassilis Kostakos.
